Our Review Methodology

How We Score GLP-1 Providers

Our weighted scoring system evaluates every provider across 8 categories using verified data — not marketing claims, affiliate payouts, or hype. Safety and clinical quality carry the most weight because GLP-1 medications are real drugs with real side effects that require proper medical oversight.

The Formula

Score = 0.22(Authenticity) + 0.18(Clinical) + 0.16(Trust) + 0.12(Reputation) + 0.10(Access) + 0.09(Support) + 0.08(Value) + 0.05(Protection)

Each provider receives a weighted score on a 1.0 to 5.0 scale, translated into a public star rating and tier classification.

Scoring Categories

🔬
Medication Authenticity & Sourcing
22%

Brand-name availability, compounding risk, pharmacy transparency, and Certificate of Analysis verification.

Why it matters: Safety-first anchor. GLP-1s are injectable medications — sourcing quality is foundational to patient safety.

🩺
Clinical Quality & Provider Access
18%

Provider credentials, lab testing, dietitian access, intake depth, and ongoing medical supervision.

Why it matters: Better medical oversight produces safer, more sustainable outcomes. We measure the quality of care, not just the prescription.

🛡️
Trust, Compliance & Transparency
16%

Pricing disclosures, compliance posture, regulatory history, and patient safety language.

Why it matters: Trust matters when choosing a healthcare brand online. We reward transparency and penalize credibility concerns.

Independent Reputation
12%

Trustpilot ratings, BBB standing, app store reviews, and review volume relative to platform size.

Why it matters: Third-party reviews are imperfect but reveal patterns. We weigh both quality and depth, not just headline scores.

🚀
Access & Convenience
10%

Onboarding speed, nationwide availability, telehealth accessibility, app quality, and self-pay options.

Why it matters: Convenience affects whether patients start and maintain treatment — but it should never outweigh safety.

🤝
Ongoing Support
9%

Follow-up cadence, coaching, dietitian support, refill guidance, and adherence-friendly care.

Why it matters: Long-term success depends on support beyond the first prescription. Providers that keep patients engaged create better outcomes.

💰
Cost Transparency & Value
8%

Pricing clarity, total value relative to care level, hidden fees, and affordability at the margin.

Why it matters: Price matters — but the cheapest option is not always the safest. We consider value, not just the lowest sticker price.

📋
Consumer Protections
5%

Cancellation terms, refund policies, guarantees, and billing transparency.

Why it matters: Good policies reduce frustration and financial surprises — but they don't outrank clinical safety.

What We Intentionally Don't Overweight

Low price alone
A lower monthly price doesn't automatically produce a higher score.
Affiliate payouts
Compensation arrangements never determine the rating. Ever.
Marketing hype
Celebrity branding and aggressive advertising don't improve a score.
Review volume without context
A huge number of reviews without strong trust signals doesn't override quality concerns.
